Who is the Errant Stitch?
I design all of my products with a love for modern design and innovation. Great design can be found anywhere in life, and I try to capture it when I can and make it into something useful and memorable. Making something useful out of something old makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and expands my creative horizons.

Why do I call myself the Errant Stitch?
The Errant Stitch name comes from the above passage from Page 84 of Harper's Household Handbook: A Guide To Easy Ways of Doing Woman's Work by Martha McClenny Williams. This book was published in 1913, and I happened upon it while Googling for sewing directions for a project I was working on at the time.
The Errant Stitch best describes my work as I make items that are unexpected, unique and out of the box.
Most of my items and their associated making processes do not follow traditional patterns or construction practices.
